Raymond Sacco gets internationally classified in Class 11 in Costa Rica

By: Daniel Rutenberg │ December 4th, 2017

We wanted to follow up and keep you informed on Raymond’s trip to Costa Rica this past Nov 27 – Dec 3rd, 2017.

Raymond got officially classified as a Class 11 Paralympic athlete and now is eligible to play in the Para Table Tennis ITTF Tour. Unfortunately the field of play in Costa Rica for Class 11 players was not big enough to host the competition.  He had a great time, while he has been able to practice in the international arena, Raymond has also being well accepted by all, players, coaches, officials and organizers.

It’s very important for Raymond to be internationally classified in Class 11, so that he can now play in his next tournament in Las Vegas next December 13-16, 2017 at the US Para Open and also he will be eligible to play at international events in 2018.

After having seen the requirements for the major ITTF Para Tournaments in the horizon, Raymond is a potential medal contender for the Para Panamerican Games in 2019 and also has a big chance to represent the USA in the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo.

Once again, we wanted to thank you for your generosity and support to help Raymond to be able to represent the USA in the sport he loves!

Good luck to Raymond in his future ITTF Para Table Tennis tournaments!  We are all cheering for you!
